Blog Tag

I should be in bed, it is 11:30 at night. But I was checking out blogs and a couple of my friends have started a "blog tag". So, what you do is you go right now and take a picture of your sink, fridge, laundry, toilet, closet, self portrait, kids, favortie place and favorite shoes. You can't clean up anything, you just have to point and shoot. So, here are my shots.

My favortie spot is our comfy sleep number bed. Iain is currently in dream land.
Sleeping kids.
My favorite shoes are these slippers from Brookstone with memory foam!! Love them!!

Visitors

So, you wouldn't know it by looking at my recent postings, but there is more to Ferguson life than just airplanes....

A couple of weeks ago we had the sweet treat of Grammie and Papa coming for a visit! We had so much fun with them. They are such easy house guests, they just fit right into our "ho-hum" desert routine. The kids enjoyed them so much, and Iain and I kinda liked having them around too. :)

While they were here, Judy and the kids came for a day. Judy is Andrew's (Iain's cousin) wife. Their kids line up pretty close in age with our kids! What a fun day we had with them. We can't wait for an opportunity to see them again soon. Thankfully they live in the LA area!

Enjoy the pictures!

Next Airplane

This is the l-39. In these pictures you can see Edwards Air Force base (aka "home") in the background. This plane was actually used as a Russian trainer back around the Cold War. That is all the history I can give you........Iain could share a lot more interesting info on it. all I know is he had a lot of fun flying it.

Next Airplane...

Tomorrow Iain flies an old favorite. The T-37 "Tweet". He flew this when he was in pilot training waaaaaaay back in the day! :) Newly married, living in Columbus, MS. Iain "cut his teeth" on this airplane. It will be fun for him to fly it tomorrow. Also, thank you to all of those who FAITHFULLY pray for Iain. Today he had a "check ride" (think BIG final exam) and he did really well!! God is so good to allow Iain to prosper in this environment!

I guess I should clarify something. Iain's regular flying schedule includes a rotaion of the F-16, the T-38 and the C-12. While in school these airplanes would be his normal "desk job" kinda planes. For a picture of what these planes look like head to my February posts. All of the "next airplanes" that I post are extra planes that come through here and the guys get to fly them as well. It is a very intense and exciting program.

Next Airplane...

This is a KC 135!! Iain flew it today and as a matter of fact, we got to see him!! The kids, Iain's parents and I all saw him doing "touch and goes" on the runway!! He was staying in the area flying around in the local runway pattern and we watched for a good few minutes!! At the time, I wasn't sure if it was him, but we found out when he landed that it was!!

On Stage......

For the FIRST TIME Ever!!! Yes, Abbie and Will just participated in their first musical ever. The musical was based on Robinson Curusoe. Abbie was a fearsome tribesman and Will was a hula dancing-color changing chameleon. They rehearsed for one week with a traveling company called Mezula. They did two shows on Friday and we all had a great time!!
